Bib/T Shirt Pick-Up
Volunteers are assigned to two areas within Bib pick up and t-shirt distribution. Volunteers for Bib pick up must verify participants identities and give them their race Bib. Volunteers for t-shirt distribution will hand out race t-shirts to participants.

Start Line Crew
Volunteers at the START LINE assist race staff in putting up the start line arch preparing and securing start corrals, controlling pre-race start crowds, and assisting with corral control and movement during the start.

Finish Line Crew
Volunteers at the finish line assist race staff with timing, crowd control and distributing medals, food, water, and other items to finishers.

Course Marshall
Volunteers are assigned to a designated area of the course. They are responsible to make sure participants do not get lost on the course. They will direct the runners on where to run and give the runners some motivation and thumbs up.

Water Station
Volunteers will set up tables, cups and water and hand out the cups with water to participants. Gather all the empty cups and place in a thrash bag.

General Volunteer
General Volunteers are the "ready reserves" who are assigned to any of the other start/finish, course marshall area volunteer positions as the need arises. This is a perfect position for anyone who would like to help, but has no specific position in mind.

Here are your instructions for Race Day, Saturday, January 20, 2018

PLEASE SEE: NELA CAVELIS Volunteer Coordinator

1. 6:00a.m. Arrive at Tidelands Park - 2000 Mullinix Drive for sign-in, set up instructions and assignments
2. Receive Race Crew Tee
3. 7:45 a.m. Grab a little bite to eat (snacks and coffee will be provided)
4. 8:10 a.m. Pre-race warm-up Course Marshalls depart to course posts
5. 8:20 a.m. Color Guard-National Anthem Ceremony
6. 8:30 a.m. Race Begins
7. 9:30/45 a.m. Bicycle "Sweep" will confirm last runner/walker.
8. Dress Warmly for the early morning
9. ABOVE ALL: HAVE FUN!!
