Lead the way for the Sunday downtown and island ride. We'll start out at the Mt. Pleasant Town Center, which is close to the Isle of Palms Connector, and head toward Charleston, passing through a portion of the Mt. Pleasant "old village" to get to the base of the Ravenel Bridge. Bob Markisello will be the Task Leader. Volunteers will be provided with a GPS upload of the route and/or a cue sheet. If possible, we'll ride the route together before the event.

Help setup then serve the buffet lunch at Awendaw Municipal Park and replenish serving dishes. Serve water and ice tea. Empty trash bags into the dumpster as needed and final lunch cleanup after all riders are served. This role may not be fancy, but it's important! Direct cars to the various parking areas at Awendaw Municipal Park. Please be aware that your shift will start before sunrise.* Flashlights and safety vests will be provided for your shift. Drive the route during the event to help keep track of rider progress and help out in the event of issues on the road. It is helpful to be able to carry multiple riders and bicycles on your vehicle. Gas expense is reimbursed. Mechanical knowledge is helpful but not required. Assist in the recovery of signs as you clear riders from the completed sections of the course. Put on your sneakers or driving hat for this task. Three teams (consisting of one driver & one installer per vehicle) to place signs along the bike routes the day before the ride. And pick up signs on the afternoon of ride day. One truck per team is helpful, but not necessary, for carrying signs. Your Task Leader will be Mike McSween.

Riders love to be acknowledged when finishing a challenging ride. The cheering section will be at at Awendaw Municipal Park with bells and whistles to make sure each rider is recognized and cheered. The more the merrier. This job can be done after you finish your ride. Riders continue to come in until after 4:00 PM. Volunteer Coordinator Erin Fornadel will be your Task Leader.

Ride along with a Coastal Cyclist team member to collect rest stop materials. This Volunteer assignment involves unpacking and storing rest stop materials at Morning Star Storage in Mt Pleasant. Physical role, volunteers should be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds. Your Task Leader will be Larry Green.

Help mark the routes. Three pairs of volunteers, each pair driving part of the route and getting out to paint arrows on the road. Put on your sneakers for this assignment. Your Task Leader will be Bob Markisello.

Join a team member in their West Ashley garage to do a massive sort of rest stop supplies (food, drinks, cups, etc.). Load supplies into a truck for next day delivery. Your Task Leader will be Larry Green.

Assemble 700+ rider packets at a Mt. Pleasant residence in early April. Your Task Leader will be Rick Dimicco.
