Overview

**IMPORTANT: Due to the corona virus, we are sorry to inform you all that we will be postponing the Harrison’s House 5K scheduled for Saturday, March 28. This was a difficult decision, but your safety and the health of our participants are our top priority. Once an alternate date has been decided on, we will let you know.

Join us on Saturday, March 28! 

Join us for the first-ever Harrison’s House 5K and Fun Run! But this day is more than about a 5k and fun run, it’s an event for the whole family! So don’t worry about a babysitter, all are welcome! The only thing we ask is that you leave your furry friends at home. 

The run will start by the Holding Park Pool and go through Downtown Wake Forest, around the beautiful Southeastern Seminary, through the Wake Forest Historic Homes, and back to the Holding Park Pool! A beautiful route on a beautiful day (we pray!) 

The route has been designed with your children in mind. Attempting to avoid challenging hills and rough terrain, whether your child is in a stroller or a wheelchair the route should be accessible for everyone!

What is Harrison's House?

Harrison’s House Overview: 

Harrison's House is 501(c)3 Organization offering distraction therapy to children and teens with cancer, serious illnesses, or special needs including physical, developmental, and intellectual disabilities. Along with their families, they can fill their days with fun, family-friendly indoor and outdoor activities such as arts and crafts, music, performing arts, sensory activities, fishing, movies, video games, riding ATVs, etc. 
 

We will also offer support and encouragement, such as grief counseling, marriage counseling, financial counseling, support groups, prayer groups and Bible studies for parents and families. Families will be able to make memories and enjoy time together in the midst of their challenging circumstances. Nothing else like Harrison’s House exists in the Triangle.

 

Event Schedule

7:30am: Registration Opens + Packet Pickup
 *All pre-registered participants will recieve 2020 Harrison's House 5K swag!*

8:45am: Warmup by Camp Gladiator

9:00am: 5K Race Begins

10:15am: Finish Line Closes
*The race will begin and end on 133 West Owen Avenue
