Important things to remember when ordering your new kit:
- Your last day to place an order is Sunday, February 1st. Store will close on Monday, the 2nd.
- Your order will be shipped directly to you. There will be an additional shipping charge of $20 placed on your order.
- Your order will NOT be charged until the store closes and all orders have been placed.
- IF for some reason we do not hit the minimums on a particular style even after doing pre-orders, I will let you know so you can decide whether or not you want to order a 2nd option.
- Once all orders have been placed, it usually takes 4-6 weeks for delivery. If there is any delay for any reason, (such as making any slight tweaks to the design after seeing a material swatch), I will let you know.

Based on this we should see kits by the start of spring riding weather.

Just a reminder that getting fitted for the 2026 Gyros Kit ends on Sunday. I have to send the kits back to Giordana on Monday so if you want a kit but don't know your size with Giordana, I highly recommend getting over to the TREK NORTH RALEIGH location and try on the styles we're offering.

If you can't, at least go to the Giordana size charts on their website. I can say that I fit in a MEDIUM jersey and bib in the GARNEAU. I also fit in a MEDIUM in the Giordana, if that helps BUT if you place an order and you're not happy with the fit, that's on you. Get fitted to be sure.

The club store will open this Monday, the 19th to take orders and will remain open until Monday, Feb 2nd.

Unfortunately, weather for Saturday in Galax is rain and wind so the ride is cancelled.

Hopefully, there will be an opportunity in January where we can try to get to the mountains again whether it be road or gravel.

In all this excitement, I was over ambitious when creating the Squirrel Spur route earlier. 59 miles and 5500' of gain for April is bit much so I'm dialing it back to 48 miles with 4500' of gain. Instead of Squirrel Spur, we'll visit another favorite, Sauratown.

I think 94' of gain per mile is plenty for early season.

If you want more climbing, you can do what some of the guys do which is head over to Pilot when we get back OR do more leg work on Sauratown while others are still climbing.

I want to thank everyone who let me know what they would like to pre-order for the 2026 Gyros Kit.

Based on feedback, the following jerseys and bibs will be added to the Gyros club store. We have met minimums on each.

- The SCATTO in the MENS Jersey
- The SCATTO in the WOMENS Jersey
- The SCATTO in the MENS Bibs
- The VERO in the MENS Jersey
- The VERO in the WOMENS Jersey

Those who wanted the FR-C Jersey and Bibs were moved over to the SCATTO because minimums were not met and the SCATTO was their 2nd choice.

I have requested material swatches from GIORDANA for me to approve so we can move to production.

I have also requested a fit kit which will hopefully include all the items I have listed above in both genders and with as many sizes as they can send. If you have not worn or tried on GIORDANA before, I would recommend getting fitted if you can. Just to be sure of your size. If you can't get fitted, GIORDANA has sizing charts which you can find at https://giordanacycling.com/pages/giordana-cycling-size-chart.

If this helps, I did try on some jerseys and bibs they sent to me, and I found the sizing on the SCATTO & VERO to be very similar to the sizing on the GARNEAU kits we've been getting. I take a MEDIUM in GARNEAU, and I fit in a MEDIUM in the GIORDANA.

I still recommend getting fitted if you can.

I will let everyone know when the fit kit is received at the TREK NORTH RALEIGH store location. I can only hold it for 2 weeks so make time to get fitted. Stay posted.

I'll also let everyone know when we've opened up the Gyros club store but first, we need to get all of the other stuff out of the way.
I'll explain then how the store works.

Since you now know what items will be sold on our club store, those that did NOT pre-order and have decided that they now want a new kit, can place an order. And those that DID pre-order can add more items if they wish. Pre-ordering was just to see where we hit minimums. Anyone can now place an order for any of the items listed above once the store is open.

This is long so please bear with me as thisis an important read.


Instead of uploading all this on the Gyros Club Store page, I'm instead going to post images, descriptions and prices below for pre-ordering our2026 Gyros Kit.


If I miss anything as there is plenty here, I'll post again.


Keep in mind that I'm doing this to see which items meet minimums. Those that don't will be eliminated. GIORDANA offers 3 styles - FR-C, Scatto & Vero. FR-C is race fit and the most expensive as you'll see. The Vero is more club fit (it is not baggy so don't let the word "club" mislead you. As I said earlier, I usually take a mediumbut in these Giordana jerseysa large fits perfectly and the Vero is just right on me. Trust me, I would never get a labeled "club" fit jersey. Too baggy!!! They actually offer the Vero as a "race" jersey as well. Something to consider when taking price into consideration.

3. As a reminder, the minimums that need to be met to keep an item in our store are 5 men'sjerseysor bibs. For example,the FR-C jersey, we would need 5 men's minimum to order. To order a womens jersey in the FR-C we would need 3 minimum. As long as we have 5 men's, we can order women's too but it has to be 3 minimum. It's the same for all the styles including bibs.
- On the women's shorts, we would need to meet the 5 minimum. We could order just 1 short but you don't want to know the price of just 1 women's short.

4. Good news is that we will also be offering a LONG SLEEVE JERSEY as well. Same design but the sleeves will fade to solid black. (See the attached image). Same minimums!

5. Over the last 20 years andwith the help of other members at times, I've had toput together andsort our club kits. It's always time consuming and a lot of effort.
However, this time will be different. GIORDANA can set up a club store for us. YOU will place your order, pay for it and haveit sent directly to you. It'll be a lot easier for all of us.
This does mean that there will be a shipping charge added to your kit order. That could be an additional $15+/-. Just want you to know what toexpect.


ONE FINAL NOTE - I was asked what the STAR means on the jersey and bibs. A STAR represents New Beginnings and Aspirations. Let that be our guiding light in 2026!

Just wanted to give you the latest update on my vendorsearch for our club kits moving forward.


I have researched Giordana,Borah, Pedal Mafia & Primal.


I've receivedfit kits and pricing from both Giordana & Borah.


Pedal Mafia said they would send me a fit kit but neverdid. Red flag for customer service.


I ruled out Primal Wear after some research & looking at reviews on their customer service soI ruled them out.


Borah sent me their fit kit butI didn't like their offerings and how their jersey's fit. Pricing was pretty much the same as Giordana though. They're out!


So, it looks like we will be going with GIORDANA for lots of reasons.


-- Their offices are in Charlotte so they are nearby


-- They are on top of things and respond quickly


-- Their minimumsare only 5 for men's jersey's & bibs and 3 for Women's for each style. This means we'll have the opportunity to offer all 3 of their styles which range from their Race Kit (FR-C), Mid-tier kit (SCATTO) and their club kit (VERO). Each one will have a different price point which we'll get into. Obviously, the FR-C is the most expensive. Their VERO kit is more inline with the GARNEAU pricing you are used to paying.
(As a side note, I always take Medium in LG but the Giordana fit is a bit snugger so for me Large fits better in the Giordana).


-- The kits are produced in Italy - NOT China. This assures the best quality in materials and fit.


-- I will get full fit kits hopefullyin all sizes and in all styles. When that happens, I would highly recommend that you try them on. Capital City Cycling and Lonerider wear Giordana so if you have one of their kits, you know the style and size if you would like to order the new Gyros kit.
NOTE - If you ordered a kit and the sizing is wrong, that's on you. I'll give everyone an opportunityto get fitted.


-- Giordana is already working on layouts based on my new design. I've already seen the 1st sketch. Once I approve the final layout, I'll be putting these up on our club store for PRE-ORDERS ONLY. I want to see which items we'll meet minimums on and you'll get to see the pricing on each. This PRE-ORDERING will also give me sizing information that needs to go to Giordana for producingfinal sketches.

One thing I can positively say is that no matterwhich style you go with - the FR-C, the Scatto or the Vero, you'll be receiving the utmost quality in custom cycling apparel.
