Mark Routes Tues 6/3 or Wed 6/4

Paint arrows on routes. Two people per vehicle. One drives and one stops and paints. Switch off. Keep windows rolled at least halfway down. Paint is placed 300 feet before the turn at the warning sign (IE: Stop ahead), at the turn (approx 8-10 feet before) and 100 feet after the turn for verification. Mark potholes and rough spots for bicycles. (white paint). Mark tracks. Mark for SAG stops. Mark clearly coming out of SAG stops May be done any time prior to ride, preferably 7 days in advance. Don't mark on wet pavement. If all routes go through area, mark for all routes for efficiency.

NOTE TIME TO ARRIVE at Hugger Mugger to Pick up your supplies.
Bring a chair. Please plan to pick up and return your Rest Stop supplies near the Registration tent behind Hugger Mugger. Bring a Chair. Set up tents and tables per Map in handbook. Prepare and distribute food and drinks at rest stop. Tear down and load in your car, return to Hugger Mugger. Rest stop stays open until Metric Sweeps come through. EACH stop needs two SUVs to haul the gear. (Or one SUV and a pick up truck would be preferred).
MS Credits will be allotted for the total time - pick up/ rest stop/ drop off.

Sweeper: Opposite of a leader, the last person in the peloton. Their job is to make sure no one gets left behind on no-drop rides. The sweeper should know the route and be able to contact others in the group if trouble. And encourage those struggling.
Either RIDE for FREE, or Register for the ride to receive MS CREDITS.

Saturday 3:30 PM -6 PM You will need to arrange transport Sat morning to Hugger Mugger for the ride. Contact Penny 919-368-2698 if you cannot find a ride in the morning. After the event, volunteers load the truck, drive to Extra Storage, 1309 New HIll Rd. Pull around the back. Volunteers will unload the truck. Return truck to UHaul. A volunteer will transport you back your house.
