Medical Support at Headquarters and Aid Station 2 (Must be Pre-approved)
If you are interested in volunteering as part of the Medical Team, please contact the individual listed below before signing up. Medical volunteers should possess knowledge of, and ideally experience with, ultra-endurance events. Volunteers must feel comfortable assessing and treating common medical concerns associated with ultramarathons. These include, but are not limited to:
--Blister care
--Musculoskeletal issues
--Heat- and cold-related conditions
--Hydration and electrolyte imbalances
--Minor injuries, chafing, and related concerns
Medical volunteers will support runners either at the main lodge (the primary medical support location) or at Aid Station 2 (offering limited medical support). When signing up, please include the following information in the comments section: Your medical credentials, any experience you have with ultrarunning, the times you are available to volunteer, and the name of the person you communicated with about this role.
