The nOg Run Club, creators of the fairly epic St. Paddy’s and Oktoberfest 8K, invite you to join us for the 4th annual World's Largest Flip Flop 1K- where running in a thong never felt so good! The run will take place on June 9th, 2018 and is open to people of all ages. If you can walk a half a mile in flip flops, you can join us!  Registration is only $20 and includes an event shirt.  The first 1,337 people to register will also receive a commemorative medal magnet!

Run Details
This non-timed 1K fun run and everyone must wear unaltered "thong" flip flops! The current Guinness World Record is 1,336 and was set by us last year! You must be at Bond Brothers Beer Company by 10:30am. Included in your registration is a race shirt, which we ask you to please wear during the run. If you are not wearing thong (unaltered) sandals, you will not be able to participate.



Packet Pickup
- Thursday, June 7th:  4-7pm at Fleet Feet Raleigh Ridgewood Shopping Center
- Friday, June 8th:  4-7pm at Bond Brothers Beer Company
- Saturday, June 9th:  9:30-10:45am at Bond Brothers Beer Company

Schedule of Events
This is not your typical "race."  There are guidelines we have to follow to submit to Guinness for our attempt to be verified as a new Guinness World Record. 
10:30am- Please arrive no later than 10:30 am at Bond Brothers.  We highly encourage you to pick up your race bib/shirt at either Thursday or Friday packet pickup to help with the lines on race morning.  Once you arrive at Bond Brothers, you will pick up your bar code liability waiver at the table in front of Bond Brothers.  You will hand this form in to be scanned when you enter into the corral area.  Every participant will hand in their own form and is one of the ways we could participants.
11am- We will start lining participants up on the corral area.  Once you enter into the corral area, you cannot leave.  If you would like to bring a beer or bottle of water in the corral area with you, please get it before you enter.  The race will start as soon as we have everyone in the corral area and get the group picture.  This process can take between 30 and 45 minutes so please be patient with us.
12-2pm- After the event, grab a beer from Bond Brothers and some food from the food trucks and celebrate a new World Record as well as raising money for our community!

After Party
After the run, hang out at Bond Brothers Beer Company and enjoy beer from the area's newest brewery!  There will be food trucks in case you want something to eat.

Due to our liability insurance, dogs are NOT allowed at this event.
