LBD 5k: Lace Up to Bring Lewy Down was inspired by the event organizer's father, Dan Crifo (pictured above).  Dan, who lived in New Jersey all of his life, was diagnosed with Lewy Body Dementia and Parkinson's disease in 2012.  Originally, this event was his daughter's way of helping from afar.  Unfortunately, Dan passed away on February 18, 2017.  For those who knew and loved him, this 5k is now in his memory.  He was a beloved husband, father and Pop whose greatest pleasure was supporting his family members' endeavors.  LBD and Parkinson's took him from us far too soon, though we know he'll be cheering from the sidelines as we run (and walk) to Bring Lewy Down.
