The 5K is held on a straight out-and-back course starting and finishing at the Cape Fear Christian Academy.  The school is located at 138 Erwin Chapel Road in Erwin.

The event actually consists of three different races.  The featured 5K starts at 10 am, the 1-mile Color Race, begins at 11:30 am, and the 100-yard Dash starts at 12:00 pm.  Official times will be taken in both the mile and 5K

The entry fees are as follows: $25 for the 5K, $20 for the 1-Mile Color Run and $5 for the 100-yard Dash. The entry fee for the 5K and Mile includes a t-shirt, with sizes guaranteed to all entered by April 14^th.

There also are entry fees for those who wish to run multiple races.  For $40, one can participate in all three events, and for $35 one can enter the 5K and Mile.

Beginning April 15, all fees will increase by $5 (except the 100-yard dash) and t-shirts will be “as available.”

Official times will be taken in both the mile and the 5K and awards will be presented to the following winners in their age groups. In the mile the age groups are 6-under, 7-9, 10-13, 14-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, and 50-over. In the 5K, they are 9-under, 10-13, 14-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, and 50-over.
