Hey guys - hope everyones summer is off to a good start. I know lots of folks have been enjoying the swims down at marions so far and its been nice and easily accessible. I got a call yesterday from town stating they are going to start locking gates again at 9pm each evening. Not sure what time theyll open in am, but likely not in time for some of the early swimmers here. There are a few folks that have keys to the gate already, so well just need to coordinate who has/wants them so folks can still get in. The town knows we have keys and are fine with us accessing the beach with them. No restrictions that Im aware of for days/times we can use it. Speak up if you have them and let others know (maybe make a few extra copies too). If youre a regular there speak up and get a copy from someone that has a set of keys. This is a private group page so can be used to coordinate or other channels if you want too.

Hi guys - here are instructions for volunteering with MRA group this year. This role will be at the water-stop during the 5k on Saturday morning (roughly 7-10am, April 18). If you cant do this role you can still volunteer, just do NOT use group info below as its unique to the water stop role. I just went through all the steps below and it was easy.

1. Click here to access the 2020 application - https://www.baa.org/races/boston-marathon/volunteer/volunteer-registration
2. Choose between registering as a new volunteer or log-in with your B.A.A. Volunteer Loyalty Number (in previous email that B.A.A. sent you directly in Jan).
3. Select that you are a GENERAL volunteer.
4. Complete your personal information and navigate to the next page.
5. Choose join an existing group when prompted, type in the following group name MRA and enter the pass code 2020. *Make sure to type in the group name and passcode exactly as they appear here with no additional spaces or characters.
6. Complete the rest of the application and submit, making sure to complete the process by obtaining an on-screen confirmation number.
7. *Please note the registration deadline is February 7th, 2020.

Hey guys - many of you that have volunteered previously for Boston got emails from B.A.A. yesterday. Once again theyve offer to set up MRA as a group and put us all together, but we need to agree on day and timing with our group (they dont want group spread across multiple days, times or roles).

So what are folks thinking? Sat or Sunday am or pm at expo? Sat am at 5k? Something else? Once we settle on this theyll quickly set up group code and then we all can sign up under that.

Meg and I vote for sat am at either expo or 5k. Shoot me email back ASAP with your preference if you want to be part of our group!
