6 Week Small Group Youth Strength and Conditioning Class @ BVPTS
Instructor: Tom Ronan MS Chemical and Life Sciences, RRCA Certified Coach, USATF Certified Coach.

When: 2:30-3:30 PM Boys and 3:30-4:30 Girls Tuesday and Thursday. Also sessions are available 3, 4, or 5 PM Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays With CSCS CERTIFIED COACH Andrew. Email me for details for Mon, Wed and Friday classes.
Start Date: 11/14 and running for 6 weeks. 2 days a week available on Tues and Thursday (No class Thanksgiving) and 1, 2 or 3 days a week available Mon, Wed and Fri. Space is Limited to 7 athletes per session.

Where: Blackstone Valley Physical Therapy Services, Inc., New Gym

Description: This class will be offered in 6 week blocks and will focus on adolescents looking to improve their athletic performance while learning how to move optimally and gain strength and power. Participants will be exposed to multiple types of exercise, ranging from flexibility and stretching, to proper warm-ups, and ultimately strength training through a variety of avenues (plyometric resistance training, body weight exercises, form running, fast twitch recruitment, and more). There will be a focus on proper form, posture, and safety in the gym, but fun is an objective as well as fitness and endurance. In order to assess progress, the Functional Movement Screen ( and other assessments will be completed on a regular basis. This class will be limited to 7 participants to be sure the adequate direction and supervision is available. Participants are required to behave properly and carefully follow instructions in the class to avoid using improper form or getting injured. As with any physical activity, there is a risk of injury. However, the purpose of this class is to reduce the potential of injury during activity by teaching proper movement patterns that should improve on-field performance in a variety of sports. Cost: Individual and block pricing can be found below. Payment will be due at the time of the class and can be paid by credit below or Check by choosing that option below. Please make checks out to MRA Coaching and Training. We reserve the right to cancel classes that aren’t sufficiently attended, but hope to be able to fill them. Missed classes can be made up when there is availability in other classes. Please check with Tom for availability.
